COLORMARQUE

With "Muddy Waters" and "Vivian Maier" Kobra has provided Chicago with two of the most visibly recognizable public art works, representing important elements of local history.

In 2016, my former partner, Lindsey Meyers, and I had the fortune of bringing the artist to produce "Muddy Waters" as part of the Big Walls mural festival.

The following year, we were able to present The Muddy Waters Legacy band, live on State Street, for a performance in dedication to the mural and as an opening to Blues Fest

With Kobra in town for the dedication, and the opportunity presenting itself, we were fortunate to secure the resources to execute "Vivian Maier," which was had been the alternate option to paint the year prior. It was pretty great spending my birthday driving around to find the perfect home for this gift to the city.

For both murals we were responsible for curation, logistics, artist accommodation, and full execution
